Jackie loves to spend her working and spare time being outdoors and immersed in any activity involving wildlife. Her preferred footwear are walking boots, waders or wellies and you are most likely to find her up a hill, in a river or enjoying a walk in the woods. She has been lucky to spend over a decade working as an ecologist surveying plants, mammals and birds in some of the most beautiful and remote parts of Scotland. She is an all-round naturalist, with an infectious enthusiasm for Scottish wildlife and enjoys sharing her knowledge and wildlife stories.
Local gamekeeper and deerstalker. With nearly 3 decades experience of Scotland’s wild places, few are better qualified to get you ‘up close and personal’ with the wildlife of the Angus glens. Andy’s passion is obvious:
“Most visitors to the glens miss so much of what is going on around them. It’s rewarding to reveal to them the things they would otherwise have walked past. What really gives me a buzz, however, is when they start working it out for themselves. It can permanently change the way in which people look at their surroundings. Everybody from dyed-in-the-wool naturalists to curious holidaymakers will take something away with them. Kids absolutely love it.”
