‘Secrets of the Glen’

Full Day / Half Day Tour

Spying for wildlife

These tours are part 4×4 safari, part wildlife walk; part local history tour and wholly captivating! The season, weather, interests and abilities of your group will all influence the route you’ll take on one of our ‘Secrets of the Glen’ Tours. Have your camera handy and be ready to enjoy the spectacular mountain views. Our guides will transport you in a 4×4 vehicle to secluded parts of the glen where we will unravel the hidden heritage and discover the challenges and experiences of living and working in remote upland landscapes. There will be opportunities to encounter wonderful wildlife such as sunbathing adders, moorland bird species, resident birds of prey, red deer and much more. There are plenty of opportunities to get out of the vehicle and soak up the atmosphere.

These are our most popular tours – here are some trip advisor comments from 2018:

“Thoroughly enjoyable day, spectacular scenery, some of which was only accessible in very high land rover, stopping to look at natural and historical objects of interest, wildlife and birdlife.”

“This was an enriching experience. If this is your sort of thing you won’t find a better guide or location.”
